This is usually my approach as well, which is why I like the JISC Infokits so much. I'm also at a point in my career where I'm thinking about how to move forwards, and I suspect I'm driven more by our culture of qualifications in the UK than anything else. However, I've been thinking about undertaking a PGCert in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, and this seems much more applicable to the work I do than undertaking chartership.
